Private Communities Are Popping Up All Over The Country

There are some great new golf communities popping up all over the country. Many people are seeing the appeal in living in such a private community that provides the golf and resort style life that they are looking for. Many of these home sites are bought for a year round home while others are purchased exclusively for vacation homes.

Victoria, British Columbia
In Victoria, British Columbia there is a new resort golf community, known as Bear Mountain that is getting much attention. This golf destination also offers a hotel and spa. This will eventually be a great golf community as a 18 hole golf course is currently offered and another is under construction. A full service spa, athletic club, and delicious restaurants top off the deal, making this an exquisite place to live or visit.

Bear Mountain home sites range from one to one and a half acres and start at about $856,000. Town homes range from 2,800 square feet to over 3,600 square feet. Condominiums cost about $1.2 million and range from a mere 530 square feet to 1,800 square feet. Fractional ownership properties can range from 1,900 square feet to 2,600 square feet and cost about $252,000 with quarter shares costing about $213,000. Fractional ownership is ideal for those that do not plan on living in the home full time.

There are currently nine home sites available, 400 condos, 7 town houses, and 22 fractional ownership town houses. This private community is nowhere near completed, but is expected to be completed in the next 10 or so years.

Villas at Rancho Valencia
Another exciting private community is the Villas at Rancho Valencia located in Rancho Santa Fe, California. This is a residence club with a resort feel that offers a tennis program and spa. The 18 tennis courts, spa, fitness center, and golf courses nearby make this a great place to live! Prices range from $475,000 for a one eighth deed interest in a villa in addition to $1,000 a month in membership dues.

This gated community is so popular that 60% of the membership has already been booked. There will be 12 villas total and they will be completed by the end of the year.

As you can see, there are gated communities popping up all over the place, from British Colombia to California. This resort lifestyle appeals to many, and with time-shares and such it is something that many people are able to afford and really enjoy.
