Idaho is the latest state to see a golf community popping up where there were once farmlands. Black Rock Development is a relatively new company that was founded by a native of Idaho, Chesrown.
The private community will be known as the Club at Black Rock and will be a luxury golf community that sits on 650 acres of beautiful real estate, overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene. The private community has been very well received and has catapulted Black Rock Development toward bigger and better things.
The Fun Doesn’t Stop There
Chesrown is also heading up a very in-depth project to revamp a former railroad yard that is across the river from Spokane’s central business district. This will be a billion dollar project that is projected to bring jobs to thousands of residents in a very convenient area of town. It has been estimated that the revamp of this railroad yard will bring in more than $3 billion dollars for the local economy, which is good news!
This revamping will turn into 77 acres and will provide 2,600 apartments, condos, and townhouses. The new structure will also offer quite a bit of office space, restaurants, and shops. When residents hear about the plans most are overjoyed, as Spokane has been in need of updating and revamping for some time.
A developer purchased the railroad yard in the past, but the firm went bankrupt before it was able to make the planned changes. This time around it appears that Chesrown will be able to make ends meet and turn the railroad yard into something different. Chesrown brought the property for $12.8 million dollars at a bankruptcy auction. The developer got right on it and has done more than $3 million dollars worth of clean up work and plans to start construction on the project by the end of the year!
Doing Good In Many Places
The Club at Black Rock as well as the revamping of the railroad yard has given Black Rock Development a good name. There is no doubt that both of these private communities will do good for the communities that they are in, and will lead to bigger and better economies, as well.
