A relatively new real estate company has purchased 1,100 acres of Annaly Bay in St. Croix. The company is working with Throgmartin Co that purchased 2,500 acres and announced plans for a $500 million dollar resort and private community that will be developed over 15 years. The new company known as Annaly Bay Resorts LLC is made up of real estate investors from California.
The Plans
Throgmartin Co. has said that they will build on and develop just 1,327 acres and would leave the rest of the land as natural open space. This was part of the deal with the land, as it has been zoned for both commercial and residential use for more than 20 years but the zoning requirements limit developers to 50% density. Throgmartic Co. also plans to build three hotels, estate homes, and villas.
What The New Guys Plan
Annaly Bay Resorts has said that they will build a golf community that will be designed by a very well known architect. The golf community will be known as Solitude Valley and will offer residents a championship 18 hole golf course, a comfortable clubhouse, a golf academy, a driving range, breathtaking estate homes, home sites on the fairway, as well as condominiums.
Building will commence when Annaly Bay Resorts has obtained all of the necessary plans and permits, which is exciting news for golf lovers of St. Croix. The coming together of these two companies will provide golf fanatics with a great country club and residential golf community that is like nothing else is the St. Croix area.
There is no doubt that this very classy golf community will enrich St. Croix. With beach clubs, casinos, hotels, and beautiful estate homes, there is nothing not to love! Plans are already in the works to improve roads and build a marina, which will enhance the area all the more.
With building starting as soon as late 2006 residents of St. Croix are excited to see this community developed and evolve into a great place to live and play.
