Although the real estate market may be cooling, this is not slowing down a major development that is set to take place in Flagler County. By the middle of 2008, the Sawmill Creek Project should be ready to go.
Developers have hired golf great Jim Furyk to design the course, and this alone should attract plenty of buyers to the 1,000 acre golf community. Nearly 1,500 homes are set to be built at Sawmill Creek, and 50,000 square feet of office and retail space will also be set aside in the area.
The first phase of the project is the construction of the golf course as well as approximately 400 homes. The golf course should be ready for players by next year. Both single family and town homes will be available at Sawmill Creek.
This is going to allow a large variety of people to find exactly what is right for them. When you add in the retail and office space, this is going to make for a well rounded community.
It is safe to say that when the Sawmill Creek Project is complete that it will be one of the premier golf communities in the area. Developers are expecting a lot out of this project, and are sure to see big returns sooner rather than later.
