Discovery Land Co. is heading up a project in Couer d’Alene to complete the golf community that will be known as The Gozzer Ranch Golf and Lake Club. While the 700-acre project is currently little more than a construction mess, there are some very obvious signs that this private community will be something spectacular when completed. Though there are not beautiful homes seemingly growing out of the hills as of yet, they are coming.
The Process
Last fall Discovery Land Co. purchased property at Squaw Bay, where they will build a beautiful marina, gas station and convenience store, and condos, all on four acres of land. The marina and condos are simply part of the process and will take about a year for construction to begin, but it is a process that is underway.
The additional purchase of the land for the marina and the condos brought the total project to over 700 acres, and will allow all of the home sites to have either lake views or valley or mountain views.
Who’s Buying
The Gozzer Ranch Golf and Lake Club has been the talk of many people from all over the United States. Buyers have come from 20 states and have purchased more than 190 lots. The lot prices start at $250,000 and can go as high as $1.6 million! The more expensive lots will feature a great view of several bays of the lake.
In the End
The Gozzer Ranch Golf and Lake Club will eventually include 270 estate home sites, 75 exclusive homes, 35 cabins, and 40 cottages. The private community will also include a 80 slip marina, restaurants, and more.
This truly will be something that is not seen every day in any part of the country. While there are a lot of golf communities out there, this will be something altogether different, a true family experience.
