Overview
Stafford, Virginia’s Augustine Golf Club is an outstanding golf experience. The golf course is a par 71, challenging in itself, and set amongst a wooded background. Architect Rick Jacobson focused on maintaining the environment as in tact as possible while utilizing its features for the golf course. The result is an outstandingly beautiful and difficult to play golf course.
Interestingly enough, the designer of Augustine Golf Club was a protégé of Jack Nicklaus, world renowned golf player and course designer. This was Jacobson’s first course design project on his own and he received rave reviews as has the course. In fact, many golf critics are calling Augustine Golf Club one of the best courses in the Southeast.
Finally, the Bermuda fairways and bent greens don’t simply make this course attractive. They also make it easier for beginners to get a feel for the course while providing plenty of challenges to more experienced players along the way. Type
